Is it possible for a tampon not to fit?!

Question: Is it possible for a tampon not to fit.?
I just joined swimming and I started my period so I tried using tampons but they don't seem to fit. I tried a couple different brands but none work. What should I do.?Health Question & Answer

When starting out in the world of tampons use ones with a plastic applicator...they're more comfortable to insert and easier than cardboard. also try different positions like standing with one foot on the toilet of standing and bending over a bit(sorry sounds wierd). You can also try a lubricant like K-Y jelly as it can help slide in better, health teacher actually mentioned it health class years ago.

It does take a little getting use to but once you figure it all out it get's easier. also you can try a light tampon to start(tampax makes them), they're smaller but you will need to change it more often, don't go right into the super ones for heavy flow and only use that size if you really need to.Health Question & Answer

It is definitely not impossible for a tampon to fit. It sounds like you're pretty young since your period just started, so I would recommend using tampons made for teens. Even if you're not young, try using these tampons because they are made much slimmer than normal tampons for women who have had not had sex yet and are not used to being penetrated by anything especially large. Definitely don't start off using super tampons your first time-your body won't be ready for that at all.Health Question & Answer

I recommend a round-tipped plastic applicator, some lubrication (KY jelly is great) and relaxing as much as possible.

Take the tampon and apply lube generously to the tip.

Squat down with legs far apart.

Insert the tampon slowly at a slightly forward-facing angle. If you feel resistance it's likely you are inserting at the wrong angle.

Be sure to insert it all the way in...slowly. If it doesn't go all the way in, it will be slighly uncomfortable.

Luckily, removal is really easy, just grab the string and pull.

Good luck!Health Question & Answer

Tampons can be difficult if you are not used to them. They will fit, but first you need to develop a technique that is right for you. It is best to use the kind that come with applicators until you are used to them. Follow the instructions on the packet carefully. And don't be afraid to practice at home, on the days when your flow is heaviest.Health Question & Answer

it is impossible for a tampon not to fit.

you are either inserting them incorrectly (it takes practice!) or tensing up too much. if you are nervous, you may tense your vaginal muscles so as to make insertion difficult.Health Question & Answer

Nope. They fit everyone. Are you still a virgin.? Your trouble probably comes from not getting it past the hymen. Try different positions. Buy tampons with applicators and use lube to help it slide in easier. Good luck!Health Question & Answer

I will help you put it in. You are using it wrongly and be relaxed while inserting. If your vaginal muscles contract then you will find it difficult so relax and spread your legs properlyHealth Question & Answer

yes, today i put in a tampon and it took me a good 5 minutes because they are big but I think it was because it was cardboard so it wasn't lubricated.Health Question & Answer

try angling it. instead of just pushing it vertically.Health Question & Answer
