Question: Depo shot and spotting question..?
I've been on the Depo shot now for about 4-5 years. I usually don't spot blood or have a period unless I'm late with my shot, which I haven't been for the last year. I got my last shot on October 23rd. I hadn't spotted or anything until last night. I started spotting blood. Is this normal for random spotting like that to occur.? Please help me. It'd be greatly appreciated.
Oh and before anyone rags on me for being on the shot. I know the repercussions, I know the side effects, everything. I'm well aware of what can and can't happen with the shot. It was my decision to get on it.Health Question & Answer

Was on the shot myself for 4 years, and it worked great. I'd get spotting when I was due, occasionally I'd get spotting in between. If you are worried you could contact your health care provider and ask them. I'd think it's not an issue.Health Question & Answer
I have a friend who was on it for about the same time as you actually and about her 5th year of being on it she started spotting. The drs all told her it was fine it just a different way of the body reacting to the shot.Health Question & Answer
