but since i was put on it for medical reasons will it still prevent getting pregnant.?

yes because it is birth control. But you have to take it everyday if it is a pill to prevent you from getting PG. If you miss then you should use be careful. Remember always use rubbers, you never know what your partner is not telling you.Health Question & Answer
