Question about not having periods and pregnancy?!
Question: Question about not having periods and pregnancy.?
First off, no, I am not sexually active (I am a virgin and plan to be for a long time). But for curiosity's sake, I have poly-cystic ovarian syndrome, and for the past three months I have not had a period. Does that mean that I can't get pregnant, because I'm not bleeding.? And wouldn't I have to bleed if I released an egg.? I would go to the doctor to ask these questions but I lost my health insurance. Thank you.Health Question & Answer

In a case of a polycystic ovarian tumour or syndrome with protracted amenorrhoea it is difficult to ascertain when a ovum is released, and there may be associated polymenorrhoea also, causing difficulty in implantation if conceived. Hence you may please consult your gynaecologist for necessary detailed examination, investigations, treatment and advice.Health Question & Answer
