what is a life span of a aids addict?!

Question:
Answers:
First of all, AIDS is not addictive so you should call it an AIDS patient. When somebody catches HIV (the virus that causes the disease known as AIDS), that person might not have any symptoms at all - the only way to tell that he is infected is by blood tests. They can of course pass over the disease. It takes sometimes a decade for someone infected to develop AIDS (Aquired ImmunoDeficiency SYNDROME). It takes this much for the virus to destroy the immune system of the infected person - therefore he will not be able to fight diseases and malignant tumors. When somebody has AIDS, it means that he has a very serious sickness (sicknesses) or tumors that a healthy person would not get because the normal immune system would fight it. After you've developed the symptoms, you have a very short time to live (couple of weeks at most) unless you are given proper (and expensive) medication. These drugs "power up" your immune system to the healthy level or near it. If you're lucky enough to get these drugs, you can live for years after AIDS has been diagnosed at you.
To simply answer your question: 1. w/o drugs it's a couple of weeks
2. w/ drugs it can be a couple of years.
