Does anyone know why the hands and feet fall asleep. It has been happening to me!

Question: I am worried that this is a circulation problem. It is very annoying to say the least. Please if you know help. Thanks
Answers:
Yep, sounds like a circulation problem. The painful tingling sensation you get when they 'wake up' is the blood returning and starting to move away the toxins that are produced by anaerobic tissue. If this goes on long-term you can cause some serious damage.
A quick way to check if you have poor cicrulation is to press firmly down on the back of your hand with your index finger. When you remove it after a second it should leave a whitish mark where your finger was. If it takes more than 3 seconds to go back to normal, you have bad circulation.
I suggest you keep your limbs as warm as you can (good excuse to move to a warmer climate!) and make a habbit of wriggling your fingers and toes to increase circulation. And if that doesn't help, go to your doctor.

Lack of circulation. You aren't getting enough exercise. Turn your computer off and get some exercise. Even if all you can do is walk around the block. Get off your seat and move.
It IS a circulation problem. It is quite normal if mild, especially when keeping your hands and feet up.

But if it's recurring, then it's someone that should be treated. It could lead to really serious problems in the long term.

What I recommend is doing sports, keeping the limbs warm, and applying ointments that can help the bloodflow. But do check it up, mate.
i just answered some ques. to a woman that is on the computor all the time, it could be a circulation problem, but it can also be the fact that certain nerves are being pinched, weather its the way your sleeping, your activities, ect. have a good massage by a good therapist that can asses you in person, they'll ask about your lifestyle and so forth, i would have to see you to make a full assesment, but try some therapy, it won't hurt!
