My boyfriend has had weird headaches. Has anyone else ever had these symptoms? P!

Question: He's had a headache every morning for the past 11 days. He also gets one or two more randomly throughout the day. The headaches are so painful they make him sick and he vomits. After vomitting he feels better. But he feels pressure around his eye all the time. He's been treated by 4 different doctors for four different things - sinus infection, cluster headaches, something neuralgia and now migraines. Nothing so far has worked. If anyone has ever had anything like this or any advice please answer. He's missed work because of it and he's the only one working in our house.

Hi! Please read these links and see if they also sound like him. Good luck!

You might want to have him go back and get the area behind the eye looked at. It sounds to me, based on your description, that there might be something more serious going on. There could be a growth of some kind behind the eye, putting pressure on that area. A CT scan would not be out of the question in this case.
He probably gets dehydrated you may have to tell him to go to the doctor this is probably an infection or he may have a virus.

Yes, I am having the same headaches right now.I do not throw up but I get really sick at my stomach. I have went to the doctor and they gave me lortab, they help but my headache comes back. The doctor said that it may be a tooth causeing my headaches. I dont have a toothache but I do have a bad tooth.I hope this helps!
My nephew gets weird headaches from artifical sweetners like aspertame, nutra sweet, etc usually found in gum, diet soda, and diet desserts.

There are also weird side effects from food colorings like Red #40, and Yellow #5, because these dyes are made from petroleum (you know, the stuff they refine into gasoline for your car)

All these things the Dr's never check for, but your body may react to.

His body is reacting to something. If he is feeling pressure around his eye, it sounds like it could be a sinus pressure thing, and sinuses do react to allergies.

What has changed in the past 11 days? A new pet? New foods? Even new carpet or furniture (they treat carpet and furniture with chemicals that he could be reacting to) Even if you had your carpets shampooed, he may react to that. What about paint, varnish, etc?

Keep looking for answers, and don't give up. If he is suffering so much, he needs you to help him find the answers to his pain!

Good luck
Actually my boyfriend had the same problems a couple years ago and after going to the doctor over and over and having an MRI, they finally diagnosed him with a simple inner ear infection. His symptoms were so severe that he would just black out and fall down sometimes and it took him almost a year to figure out what it was. The doctor couldn't give him anything for it so he finally went to a homeopathic doctor who did something (I don't remember what) and his headaches have been gone for over a year now.
Maybe they are only stress headaches,Since he is the only one working in the household that can be a lot of pressure on him. Also waking up with a headache,(which I have had before) can be a sign on migraines.Does his headaches, seem only on one side of his head? That is migraines for sure. If they show up only here and there, then is could be cluster headaches.

There is medication he can take when he feels on coming on,and it should stop them from getting worse.
Ask your doctor to refer him to an eye specialist, or make an appointment with an optometrist to have his eyes checked. If anything is found during the eye examination that doesn't look normal (they can tell better than your doctor with their equipment and more specialized knowledge),then the optometrist can refer your guy to a specialist. Make sure the optometrist is fully informed about the problem. He may have a better solution for you. Don't wait too long.
A friend of ours was having headaches like this. She had them for a year and the doctors told her it was stress. She ended up having a tumor behind her eye. Has he had a CT scan or MRI? I would seek a second opinion or to see a specialist. I hope he gets to feeling better and soon. Good luck.
