I have had migraines from the time I was a sophomore in High school and still have them today at age 55. No matter how bad my headaches have been I have never had one for longer than a day. Let me also state that trying to stop a migraine with over the counter drugs is like trying to stop a semi-truck by standing in front of it. However, do not take anything else till you see a doctor. I know what you said about insurance but you must get to a doctor now and have proper medication prescribe to you now. Worse yet is the fact that with migraines Doctors must experiment with what drugs do best for your type of migraine. So you may be forced to go see a Doc more than once or even twice. I am sorry but you have no choice as having this kind of pain for this long is not good for you. I am not a pro on any form of drug use but migraines can not be stopped any other way. I am sorry for your pain. Good luck and win!

go to the doctor as a migraine sufferer i must say it may be a sign of a deeper problem ranging to brain tumor so see a doctor maybey buy health insurance just long enuff to accomplish this but you must go to try and find out what is triggering this also if it is the spinny throw up type try motion sickness pills they work for most of my mild migraines but see a doctor first
You need to go to the doctor. It is probably hormonal and can be helped if you either change your birth control to a pill that has hormones through the last 7 days or if you are not on birth control you might want to look into starting a low dose pack. Second the Imitrex injection really works wonders but again you will need to see a doctor. Maybe you have a health clinic in your area or a women's clinc might be able to help you.

Good Luck
apple cider vinagre tablets
they work and do not ruin your liver
if that doesnt do it then your body in running at high frequency

I have migraines too. Try packing your head in ice, using ice packs or freezer bags full of ice. Surround your head completely and wrap it with a towel. It will hurt at first, but then it will numb your head. The first ten minutes will be uncomfortable, but stick with it. It really helps, to stop the blood flow. Also, sometimes headaches are really generated from the neck, so try getting someone to give u a neck massage.
okay i had the same exact problem except i am 22 but anyways, everyone said to just go to the doctor and i knew they would just give me something to mask the problem but not fix it. I didnt want to always have to rely on meds so i heard from a friend at work about colon clensing and how if you dont do a detox once a year it can cause headaches bloating and chronic fatigue so i went to the website www.drnatura.com and was skeptical but read so many reviews that seemed legit and looked at all the photos and saw all the crap living in your body and immediatly bought the detox and that was about 6 months ago..not one headache since about the 2 month of the dr. natura detox and i have so much energy. If you are skeptical like i was it is understandable but atleast go to the website i promise you are going to freak out at all the parasites that live in everyone and all the health problems they cause. I know it sounds crazy but just like i said go to the website atleast.i think this might help you.

Ok..well there is no specific cure for migraine headaches. The goal is to prevent symptoms by avoiding or altering triggers. When you do get migraine symptoms, try to treat them right away. The headache may be less severe.

When migraine symptoms begin
Rest in a quiet, darkened room
Drink fluids to avoid dehydration (especially if you have vomited)
Try placing a cool cloth on your head
Over-the-counter pain medications like acetaminophen, ibuprofen, or aspirin are often helpful, especially when your migraine is mild. Be aware, however, that chronic usage of such pain medications may result in rebound headaches.

If these don't help, well you should go to the doctor about prescription medications.

Your doctor will select from several different types of medications, some may include
Ergots like dihydroergotamine or ergotamine with caffeine (Cafergot)
Triptans like sumatriptan (Imitrex), rizatriptan (Maxalt), almotriptan (Axert), frovatriptan (Frova), and zolmitriptan (Zomig); these are available as a tablet, nasal spray, or self-administered injection
Isometheptene (Midrin)
Stronger pain relievers (narcotics)
Many of the prescription medications for migraines narrow your blood vessels. Therefore, these drugs should not be used if you have heart disease, unless specifically instructed by your doctor.

However. If you wish to consider an alternative, feverfew is a popular herb for migraines. Several studies, but not all, support using feverfew for treating migraines. If you are interested in trying feverfew, make sure your doctor approves. Also, know that herbal remedies sold in drugstores and health food stores are not regulated. Work with a trained herbalist when selecting.

P.S. Migraine headaches generally represent no significant threat to your overall health
Prevention is better than taking medication. I gave up drinking tea and coffee and I no longer get migraine headaches. I drink water or orange juice with meals instead.

*You might be having a reaction to food however I believed at first it was family related as my father always suffered and I got them from a young teenager through to and adult.

Thankfully I haven't had one for years and I would go to bed with one every week or 2 before.
I use to put ice packs on my head and neck, until I started to take Excedrin Migraine. I take one pill, lay down and in 15 minutes or less, it is gone. I use to get them a couple times a week.
