How much light yogurt can I eat in one day without it interfering with my nutrit!

Question: I've become addicted to light yogurt as I've given up chocolate and other empty calories. I try to limit my calorie intake to about 1500 calories total per day. I'm 49, and I'm 5' 7" tall with an average build. I can lose weight at that, but how many calories of light yogurt is still healthy at 100 calories per serving? (I hope a nutritionist reads this.) ~Rosie~
Answers:
Yogurt is fine to fulfill your dairy requirement. Three a day would be all you really need, if you are eating/drinking no other dairy. But more shouldn't hurt. Especially if by "light" yogurt you mean fat-free, sugar-free, it won't hurt you at all unless you eat about 50 or something! Then it might give you diarrhea.

Other Answers:
It's going to depend on what the other foods you are eating are and how many calories and nutrients are in those. If you reach your nutrient needs and have extra calories, light yogurt is fine.
