Hmmm.I don't think it's just African teens. I've noticed that the teen generation today is bigger and more developed altogether. My theory as to why? It's all of the hormones in the meat and milk that they are ingesting. Solution? Stay away from McD's and drink organic milk.
Most young people reach their full growth in their mid to late teens - boys usually later than girls. That is most of the reason.
Because they undergoe puberty, just like any other teenager. Puberty is a stage were most teenagers have shuper asctive thyroid and pituitary glands causing them to grow. If for some odd reason that they may be taller than teens who stay in Africa, then it could be a sign of malnutrition, wich Africa is infamous. If you're wondering why most African teens grow taller than Amreican teens, it's because being tall is a common gene found in Africans and African Americans.
