Anyone have a D&C ?!
Question: I have had PCOD(Polycystic Ovarian Disease) since 1996. I am wondering if anyone who has or had PCOD with prolonged times of menses(3 months or longer) ever had a D&C done and if yes, did it make the problem better?

A couple of years ago I had a miscarriage & I had to have a D&C & I also have PCOD. I had to have my left ovary removed cause it had a huge cyst in it & a couple of weeks ago my OB/GYN had to drain a large cyst off of my cervix. The one thing that has really helped me with PCOD is I have lost alot of weight & my doc said that it would really help me & it has. And not just with the POCD.

I have PCO & endometriosis. I've had 4 D&Cs for other reasons and it didn't solve anything - I went on to have two kids and everything was worse than before.
I had the cysts lasered off once (as they were over the allowed size) and my lining removed, but the bleeding has now returned.
So all the d&c's did was help my infertility problems in my opinion.
