Question: I really like this guy. But I have been trying to stay away from him because I am afraid of getting hurt. We used to talk on the phone fwo to three times a week-but I stopped that--Well, the other day I went to a place where he worked and we talked for about an hour and really enjoyed each other's company! When I left, he said, "It's always good to see you." Then He added.."see you next year!" What-suggestions, thoughts...what did he mean, imply....

I think it was a joke. You said that you two don't talk as much as you used to, I think that he was just making light of the situation. You shouldn't be discouraged from talking to him again.

i think that he felt u guys didn't talk for a while (as u said)but it probably felt like a year to him so since its been that long he's probably thinking thats how long it will be until u talk to him again. In other words he's just being sarcastic.
He's implying that you're obviously keeping your distance and he will probably not see you in a long while. He is also implying that he would liek to see you more frequently.
Listen...you will probably get hurt once or twice in your life..it is a fear that I also have, but there comes a time when you have to let "it" happen. "It" meaning.whatever ..hurt..joy..love.pain.
Sounds like he was being sarcastic. Probably because he never sees you. I've been in your situation before. I have suffered a lot because a guy I thought i was going to marry left me for my best friend and married her instead. It has been 2 and a half years and I still have problems because of it. The only way around this is to suck it up and do the best you can to try to begin dating again. It will be hard but if you want something in the future with someone special then you have to get over this hump. I say call him and surprise him and invite him out to dinner or something. He might be a great guy and you are ruining it by being afraid.
