how do i fix back pain?!

Question:
Answers:
Depends on where the back pain is coming from, no? I know when my back hurts they tell me to lay on the floor and put my legs up on the bed.basically elevate your legs and stay there for a half hr if not more.

While sleeping, I'm told to lay on my side and put a pillow between your knees.

Also, if you're sitting up on anything that doesn't have something to rest your back, make sure you are not slouching.

If you walk in heels and you bend your knees while while you step down on the foot, that could be the cause.

However, since I'm not a physical therapist, don't quote me on all this. See a qualified physician that can give you safe, practical advice!

YOU don't fix back pain, doctor's fix back pain. If it's merely a strain, cold compresses help. Leave them on for only 10 minutes, off 20, on 10, or you can damage your skin.

It really depends on what is causing the back pain. If it's muscle strain, the above plus anti-inflammatory drugs like Motrin or Advil. If you don't remember straining a muscle, then it could involve discs or nerve damage. Not to be messed around with. Take if from someone who lives with back pain (and is postponing surgery until I retire).
The first thing you should check is your posture. Sitting, standing, and laying down, as well as walking. Avoid injuries and stress by not overloading weight on the back (heavy back packs) and by lifting heavy objects with your knees.

Stretching and relaxing also helps, as well as many exercises. There are exercises such as supermans and ham curls (basically laying on your stomach and lifting yuour body with your lower back). You can also ask an expirienced weight lifter or fitness trainer on how to do a good morning squat. Exercising you abdominal strenght is also extremely important. When exercising, medicine balls tend to take alot of stress and weight off of your back.

Some people do yoga but I never tried it. They say it works and the same with Pilates.

Fitness trainer. Fmr. martial arts instructor and when I was 16 I was squatting and the weight shifted, almost crushing a disc in my spine.

I also folded my back in half during football practice when I was 17. My coaches were surprised that I can even walk.
