crack addicts are useless and never to change...they are a drain on my tax dollars and i for one have had enough of having all my hard earned $$ taken out each month so ..drug addicts can get their welfare cuz of their "disability " and addiction to drugs...ny needs to clean up!

Well, I was never real big on crack..or coke of any kind. But I mainlined meth, so it's just as good. It's been my experience that addicts will favor one to the other.
The only way I got clean was by moving out of the town I was living in, and completely discontinuing contact with the people that I knew while I was engaging in that lifestyle. It took the better part of a year for all the withdrawal symptoms and the cravings to stop.
Had I not WANTED to get clean, it never would have worked. That's the FIRST step.
Then there are detox centers; 3,6,9, & 12 month lockdown treatment centers; Anonymous groups - AA, NA, etc. Mental Health centers, AND counseling centers who specialize in substance abuse treatment and recovery.
