Does metformin XR come through in the stool? Is it absorbed through the capsule?!

metformin must dissolve in stomach and undergo complete absoption through the intestine ,if go out withstool mean it is of bad manufacturer and give no benefit to the patient

Metformin XR is the same drug Metformin, packaged in a time release pill form. The outer pill part is inert, and is just there to allow the medication to be released slowly. It is possible and normal for the outer pill shell to come out in the stool. You are still receiving the medication, however, and should not be worried.
