I had a cold two weeks ago. I lost my sense of smell and taste. What could be wr!

Question: I'm just now starting to smell a littlew bit, but not totally
Answers:
Two weeks after a cold having this symptom is nothing to be alarmed about. If a few months down the line it doesn't return, see and ear nose & throat doctor. I lost part of my hearing about 2 weeks after a cold. The doctor explained that the aftermath of the viris and our body's reaction could last a month or two after the initial illness. There is probably some inflamation left in your sinus cavity. My hearing returned just as she said it would.

It's normal to lose your sense of smell and taste when you have a cold, since colds impair the ability of the nose to react to odors. Also, the sensation of flavor is a combination of your sense of smell and taste. That would explain why people with colds also perceive food as "tasteless" and therefore lack appetite.

As Warren said, patience! As you get better, your sense of smell and taste will gradually come back. :)
