how do you put up your own hair when wearing a wig?!

Question: I have medium length hair and I just purchased a medium lenth wig. I know how to properly put one on but what do I do with my existing hair (how do I put it up so it's not lumpy underneath yet it stays put as I put the wig on) I know it sounds stupid but I have a special occasion to attend this month and I cant have blonde hair poking out underneath a burgandy wig. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Way back when, I used to be a clown and wore a wig. Since the wig was substantially shorter than my real hair, I braided my hair in 2 french braids and pinned the braids up so that they didn't show. I don't know how well this would work for a regular wig, though.

u where a wig?
Some women have their hair cornrowed(braided) and they bobby pin the wig to the braids.

You could also wrap your hair around your head and secure with bobby pins. If your hair is fine, though, I wouldn't recommend that one. To try it, make a part in the front of your hair, take a hairbrush and begin at that part, to brush your hair in a circular motion, around your head. It will end up looking like a beehive hairstyle without the height.

Good Luck!
I would return the wig and get my money back. I don't think your hair will look nice no matter what you do if you smoosh your hair under a wig it will look like crap. Good Luck !
WRAP YOUR HAIR( BRUSH YOUR HAIR IN A CIRCULAR PATTERN UNTIL IT LAYS FLAT) OR BRUSH YOUR HAIR BACK THEN PUT ON A WIG CAP. EITHER WAY YOU WON'T HAVE A LUMPY DO.
if you're not a chemo patient and have a healthy head of hair, then be your lovely self. you don't need a wig.. you're gorgeous
