how does pressure (from anything) effect teens?!

Question: How do teens today react to different pressure? (i.e. parents, friends, scholl, etc.)
Answers:
some teens seclude themselves, others will become violent or rebel, and others will just put themselves into some kind of activity to forget about their troubles like a sport, hobby or schoolwork. I'm sure there are other reactions, but these are three of the most common and broad reactions that i have seen.

yes!
ive been through alot of peer pressure and it effected me so much that i had to attend a psychologist because my mom didnt know how to deal with me and yes i do think teens get pressured into doing alot of things their friends are doing.
it doesn't affect teens unless you're a paranoid adult. In the long run people just adjust to GROUP NORMS. It's the same as you are now as an adult. But only people with unstable personalities are really affected. Other than that it's just confroming to group norms
Peer presure? I don't think it effects me too much i mean in some cases it does but When i want to do something im going to do it and when i dont want to do somehting im not going to do it. I want to live my life my own way reguardless of what people may think is right for me. I dont want to be affected by someones else voice but from the voice that I speak.
It's very interesting to read your answers, because I'm no teen at all. So, all I can tell you is you will get older and you'll crave for the time you left behind. Supposedly you have to face less responsibilities. Most of the time you live with your relatives, have time for friends, the fridge is full.

Believe me you start having a hard time when you have to pay all the bills, take care of your family, work hard and yet save time to keep an eye on your children.

I admit some so called "friends" will try to pressure, smoking, drinking, even sex are some difficult issues teens sometimes get into without really being convinced.

Just keep in mind: do and try as many experiences as possible, take care of yourselves, do no harm to others.
Lack of love and bad guidence by some media like movee news etc
When pressure is applied then the teens will react just opposite to what is being told.If good is said he will do bad. If bad is said he does the good without knowing it is good.so Teens should be loved more than anyone so as to listen to us.Why to think about the effects?Which is the worse.
Either they ignore the pressure and become careless and irresponsible, or they decide to focus on one thing ( could be playing video games or watching TV or maybe something slightly meaningful. in order to block out the pressures.

Learning how to handle the pressures during the teenage may not be a bad thing. however, every kid reacts differently.
sigh...

i would have been a normal person..
