Question: Blood urea level is around 9.0. Partyiculary I do not take any drugs. When the pain becomes unbearable I take the capsule called INDOCAP SR that gives me relief. This problem is there with me for the last 15 years and pain keeps on increasing year by year. Now under the advice of a Doctor I am taking a drug called Zyluric. Is this drug safe. Is there any poermanent cure for this? What should I do. Please advice.

If it is gout, my father in law has that (and my two brothers in law,although my husband doesnt),& he has to avoid peanuts like the plague, they set it off really bad. Also, if you have sons, I think it may be hereditary, they may want to watch for it, because I think it can damage your heart.

You probably meant blood uric acid instead of blood urea.
Yes, a blood uric acid=9.0 is considered high, and you probably have gout, where uric acid crystals are deposited
in your joints, and this gives you pain or arthritis. You have to change your diet, and avoid red and organ meats.
Zyluric blocks the formation of uric acid crytals, and should help in the long run but not instantaneously.
