Has anyone else experienced bad pms and horrible depression after a tubal?!

Question: I had a tubaligation 4 yrs ago and since that time i have had depression to the point of a nervous breakdown, panic attacks, anxiety and oh boy when that time of month comes around OMG, i wanna leave my own body! I talked to my gyno about this and she gave me paxil cr, from then i went to a doctor and got prescribed almost every antidepressant under the sun to no avail. I went back to gyno about 2 years ago and her choice was to put me on birth control that caused my blood pressure to go up significantly and i just could not take it. And why in the hell would i want to be on birth control when that is the whole reason i had surgery so i didn't have to take that anymore! Does anyone have any suggestions or have you experienced this also. OH, i do not drink ANY carbonated beverages at all because i know that can cause your pms to get worse, PLEASE HELP!!!

Check out the sites I provided below. There are a group of people who believe that tubal ligation causes all of those things. They call it "Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome". I had a tubal about 6 years ago, and I am very happy with my results. But, I have heard many women with many complaints after their surgery. Good luck to you!

awe you poor thing :( . Ask your Dr to think about maybe having a hysterectomy maybe that will help . Maybe see a psychologist ? . join support groups.. maybe even go to another gyno and get a 2nd opinion .. heck keep going till your happy. I wish all the best of luck hun .
I've done a bit of looking around about the same issue. I had the same problem after a tubal, worst of all after a few years I developed horrible cramps and bleeding. I had a procedure to relieve the bleeding but the cramping came back. Everyone I know who has had a tubal has eventually had the same problem with PMS, cramping and/or bleeding. I had PMS so bad at times that I would worry that I was gonnna actually hurt someone. I finally had a hysterectomy last year due to the severity of the cramping. I honestly believe that the cramping and bleeding I experienced was somehow due to scarring of some sort. I don't know where the PMS came from but good luck with it. As someone who has been there,I wish you well.
Yes! I have been that too. Birth control is help but something else want wrong. For me I just deal with it. When I'm on PMS I keep my self busy, and drink a lot of water and stay aways from cold drink or carrying heavy things. For me it help. Not everything away but I have pass one month and before you know it back.. So I just think it like uninvited it friend for every month.
I can't give you any advice but, just know you aren't alone in that. I don't have nervous breakdowns or anxiety, but, I have severe cramping and major PMS. I have to take pain relievers for 3 days each month because the pain is debilitating. I feel like I border on depression because I am seriously moody pre period, I find it very hard to control my emotions. It seems to get worse too, the older I get. I hope you do find help soon, I can't imagine what it's like to have it worse than me!
Oh wow,now I know why all of a sudden I get so moody around my period, I didn't even think it had anything to do with that. Mine isn't as bad as yours though, I'm so sorry you are going through that. Try St. John's Wort it's all natural. Here's the page telling you all about it http://nccam.nih.gov/health/stjohnswort/ and also try to talk to a chiropractor, herbalist,or masseuse experienced in the Chinese techniques. These people usually find ways to align your body to help your mood.
