IMHO, belly piercings only look good on slender stomachs. and if it's toned, then even better?
They may look cool, but acupuncturists believe that it is a bad spot for a piercing because it throws you off balance at that point. Also I know lots of people who have had them and all of them ended up getting yucky infections from them.

If your tummy is toned, then yes go for it! It doesn't hurt very much and you just have to keep it clean so that it doesn't get infected. And hey, if you don't like it, you can always take it out -- more than you can say for a bad tattoo!

well i have one and they r really hard to take care of they get infected all the time and its not just me i am a very clean person and i take plenty of showers if that wat ur think

I like them and was about to get one.but I had a friend who had it done wrong and they ended up having her abdonial lining snaged and grew to her belly-button ring and had to hav it surgically removed and cant wear one now and has a hole in her stomache. Just a story.. I still want to get one but only do it if you really want one.
It looks nice when it's done right. Don't do it if you have more than an average pooch or it'll look skanky. Also, how your belly button is shaped determines how straight or crooked the piercing ends up. if it's an outy or if it's very shallow or very oval the piercing'll turn sideways or migrate off-center.
Whatever you want but here is what the deal breaker for me was. If you have a belly button ring and get pregnant and take it out since you're pregnant. The holes get really big and disgusting when you're pregnant and I definately want to have kids in the future and definately don't want big holes where my belly button is. Something to keep in mind before you get one.
it's real cute to have a belly button piercing.i mean it might seem cute but you might get infected..good thing you didn't want to pierce your tongue cause once you pierce your tongue you can get..
