16 year old with blood in loose stool - no other illness/symptoms present - test!

Question:
Answers:
Gastrointestinal bleeding (GI bleeding) is a very non-specific symptom.

It could be nothing, or it could be rather serious. You should see a doctor.

Other Answers:
It could be viral, bacterial, or zoological.

If you were living anywhere but in the Western world, I've have you checked for cholera.
Stop worrying and see a Doctor!
But.. I have had hemorrhoids since I was 17 so at first guess that would be your problem. Are your stools normal but you are finding streaks of blood on them and fresh blood on the paper? Then I am probably right.
If your stools are very dark and stained with blood then you could have something more severe from higher up in your digestive system. Treating hemorrhoids is relatively easy at a young age and doesn't involve much more than the correct diet. No I am not a Doctor.go see one. That is the only way to avoid unnecessary worrying and of course early diagnosis of any problem is going to cure it a lot quicker.
go to the doctor the test is very simple.
the doctor will give you 3 test cards, they are called fecal occult blood tests
You will have to collect your fecal matter in a "hat" its a bowl-like container that rests on your toilet and you will have to take a wooden stick the clinic will provide you with and on the card are two little windows, you will take some feces from each end and place it on the windows close up the card and do this for 3 consecutive bowel movements, when you have had 3 and the cards are sealed take them to the doctor and they will test them. Its easy and you can wear gloves, not so bad we have people do this all the time
