information about bacteria growing on toothbrush?!

Question: i am doing a speech on why you should change your toothbrush every 3-4 months and looking for good reasons why and how much bacteria grows on your toothbrush
Answers:
Being in the dental business for the last 15 years, I can advise you that you should change your toothbrush whenever you are sick so you aren't putting all the same sick germs back into your mouth.
I recommend dipping your toothbrush in peroxide after each use to kill whatever is on it.
As for changing your brush every 3-4 months, the bristles wear down and aren't as effective on cleaning the tartar from your teeth. Also, don't forget to floss. Brushing alone doesn't clean your teeth completely.
And one more thing.Be sure to see your dentist every 6 months minimum for a good cleaning and at least once a year for x-rays and an exam. If you have braces, you should have your teeth cleaned every 3-4 months unless you're a compulsive brusher like me. 2 times a day is preferred, but I brush 3, 4 sometimes 5 times a day. This will also help with bad breath.

Other Answers:
Always clean your toothbrush thoroughly after each use. Put it in a hydrogen peroxide solution which will clean down into the fibers of the toothbrush. You can rinse out your mouth with hydrogen peroxide as well. It goes down beyond where you can reach and gives you the deep cleaning that the gums and teeth require. Result: You should not have a bacteria problem. God Bless.
