help with porn addiction!?!

Question: im addicted to porn, how can i help my self with out watching porn and controll my self? anyone?
Answers:
Porn is like a lot of things, it effects different people different ways - some people can look at it and not have any problems whereas some people can become addicted to it and have it ruin their lives - just like drinking - some people can drink with no problems ! Some people can look at porn and get stimulated by it and have it enhance their sex lives .... and then others cannot get stimulated unless they have it ! For those that have problems with it, it tends to get progressively worse over time - and may lead to other even more destructive behaviors ! For those that have a problem with it, you can't do "just a little bit of porn" - that's like an alcoholic, taking just a couple of drinks ! It is very hard to do on your own - and it is very hard to "just stop". Get some help. Try SA or SAA, they are designed for this kind of thing. Depending on where you live, there are often quite a few resources you can take advantage of. If you want to chat, I am at mikeallen555555@yahoo.com

rip the internet out of the wall and throw your computer in the street
make some on your own
think of them as your mother/sister/daughter.. think of the pain they are in emotionally/spiritually, u dont want to contribute to the abuse of women and children do you? they are mostly abused children starting out.... they commit suicide etc... learn a lot about women in general and how to respect and love them... in a way that REAL ONE will be excited about!! even sexually! but at the rate youre going a real one will never be excited by you:( think of the great sex youll have in saving yourself for a real woman!
Just don't watch it. Try getting rid of all the porn you have. That will not tempt you in watching it. Try developing a new healthy hobby or exercise. That helps keep your mind occupied in other things.
You just have to focus that energy on something else. When you feel like watching a porno, do pushups or situps or something else that is productive.
you should not watch it and you should take out the TVs and the computer. than you wont have that problem
JUst go to sleep early, they show porn late in the night so go to sleep by 10, 11pm.Internet porn.Just get Zonealarm software to block out porn.It restricts u from opening porn.

In all honesty, if u know what u re doing is not right for you, u will find your own way of stopping your addiction
its tough if you dont have a wife or girlfriend to satisfy your needs you have to release every now n then though or you'll explode? i have the same problem! bigtime keep busy n good luck
I had this problem with my husband. We have 2 computers, and they're both sitting in the garage now. He knows he has a problem. He also has a problem accepting responsiblity for his own actiions. Plain and simple: You don't play with the devil. Get rid of whatever media you're using. Isn't the real thing better anyway?
You are not alone. If you are sincere about controlling your problem, find a support group that deals with these issues. The Internet has been a porn thoroughfare, with people never really interested in it before, until they could get it on line. Spend more time away from computers and go play tennis or golf and then get addicted to that like Tiger Woods is.
This christian site claims to help you control your addiction by allowing one of your friends or stranger, someone you wouldn't want to have access to your cookies to monitor you and pray for you. I didn't read the whole thing so I might have got it wrong. Also an online support group I think.

Porn is a vice, it's stage, not reality. The answer is SIMPLE..Just stop!

Besides ask yourself this question:

"If you could really HAVE that pronstar, would you still want her and would sex with you and her REALLY last hours and be crazy like the video?"...It's a "M-O-V-I-E".

IF you have a flesh and blood girlfriend you should be thankful she wants you.
You need to start going to SA.

Test Yourself

1. Have you ever thought you needed help for your sexual thinking or behavior?

2. That you'd be better off if you didn't keep "giving in"?

3. That sex or stimuli are controlling you?

4. Have you ever tried to stop or limit doing what you felt was wrong in your sexual behavior?

5. Do you resort to sex to escape, relieve anxiety, or because you can't cope?

6. Do you feel guilt, remorse or depression afterward?

7. Has your pursuit of sex become more compulsive?

8. Does it interfere with relations with your spouse?

9. Do you have to resort to images or memories during sex?

10. Does an irresistible impulse arise when the other party makes the overtures or sex is offered?

11. Do you keep going from one "relationship" or lover to another?

12. Do you feel the "right relationship" would help you stop lusting, masturbating, or being so promiscuous?

13. Do you have a destructive need -- a desperate sexual or emotional need for someone?

14. Does pursuit of sex make you careless for yourself or the welfare of your family or others?

15. Has your effectiveness or concentration decreased as sex has become more compulsive?

16. Do you lose time from work for it?

17. Do you turn to a lower environment when pursuing sex?

18. Do you want to get away from the sex partner as soon as possible after the act?

19. Although your spouse is sexually compatible, do you still masturbate or have sex with others?

20. Have you ever been arrested for a sex-related offense?

Dear Pie,

Porn is powerful stuff.

It is often addictive, especially if we have neglected certain areas of our lives.

As men, we often don't get good guidance about how to create a life for ourselves that works well for us. We usually create a life that works well for others.

And this creates a fertile ground for addiction.

What in your life might you be neglecting ?

learning to become comfortable with being a male ?
learning to be connected to others "
letting go of "boy ways" and adopting "man ways"
accepting that "porn beauty" is mostly not real
becoming "ok" with the beauty that people DO have

These are some possibilities.

They are all hard work.

Life as a grown man requires hard work and is often difficult.

The website below might be helpful.

Hope this helps.

How to avoid pornography addiction on the Internet, here's my idears:

1. Consider installing porn content filtering software( Strongly Recommend NetDog ,you can get it from www.netdogsoft.com ) on your computer. it will help to protect you from stumbling into pornography by accident, That's important.

2. Do not try to guess what the address of a Web page is. Many pornographic sites have similar addresses of respectable sites. For example www . whitehouse . com is a porn site. The real address is www. whitehouse . gov

3. Never click on Web site addresses that you receive in an unsolicited email.

4. Do not open attachments that come in email that are unsolicited.

5. Use filtered search engines or reputable directories to find the information you need.

6. Do not search for terms like girls. Think before you enter a search term.

Stick with reputable sites.
If something looks questionable, don't let curiosity get the best of you. Delete it or close the window.
