Make your own peanut butter from grinding mixed nuts (healthier, high-calorie, cheaper). and eat it as a snack every hour. It has the protein and added calories to grow.

Also, try to eat an hour before and right after working out (usually liquid protein drink that has carbs and fats too.) Eating right after working out seems to get the products to your muscles faster so they can rebuild better and quicker.

Just remember that you need all 3: protein, fat, carbohydrates. Our bodies don't make 4 essential amino acids and 2 essential fatty acids; and carbohydrates are our instant energy source.
