Does AARP offer its version of the new Medicare Drug plan?!

Question:
Answers:
Yes it does. I actually offer that part d plan to most of my patients. It covers a wide range of medication which is beneficial to you the patient and also allows you to fill a 90 days supply of medication, so you only pay your copay every 3 months.

Humana has a lot of drug restrictions and limits the patient to 30 days supplies on most meds. Some expensive brand name drugs are not covered without a Prior Authorization, which has to be submitted by your physician.

You can go to www.medicare.gov and check out the formulary finder. Input all of the medication you are taking and the website will give you a list of which Part D plans cover all/most of your medications.

By far from my experience the AARP plan is one of the better of these part d plans. Stay away from Sierra Health and Cigna.

Other Answers:
yes it does not as good as Humana for my purposes. But, it may fit yours. AArp does not have your intrest at heart only its own political agenda
your employer may have a coverage that is better than D, and D may pay them to keep you on that plan

if their plan isn't better, you can get on medicare part d's gap plan, which fills the gaps between.

there are over 114 combo's of this plan in one state alone. speaking to your employer or benefits provider would better benefit. check out the sources for some websites.

have you tried Rx Outreach? It's generics at a low copay ($18). You may apply. Check it out in the sources.
