No, Well yes, it really depends on your hair straightener NEVER use metal you have to use ceramic if you want healthy hair. Next time you purchase a hair straightener, research it first.

any chemicals you put on your hair over time will definantly damage and break off your hair. If you must though i recomend DEEPLY conditioning ALOT before and after. Especially if you bleach your hair blonde alot
Any heat or chemical you apply to your hair for a length of time will cause damage. I highly recommend you use a good hydrating conditioner in the shower and a leave-in conditioner before styling. Twice a month I also recommend you use a deep conditioner. Redken has a good one.
yeah it is.first it leads to split ends and then it makes ur hair frizzy if u overdo it..like if u straighten it every day then u could end up withbroken frizzy hair..i feel ur pain..i was wondering if there was something a little healthier for ur hair when u straighten it cuz i use a flat iron, and my hair is about a little past my shoulders, really wavy curly hair, the one thing i can tell u is to use leave in conditioner before n after u straighten..from experience!

it doesn't have to damage your hair as long as you take the steps to protect it from heat damage. There is a lot of products made to protect it from heating tools.
