can u get hiv/aids from saliva?!

Question:
Answers:
Straight people get AIDS too, that's very stereo typical. I can't believe that you said that! Well, no, you can't get AIDS/HIV from saliva. You can only get it from sexual fluids, blood (transfusions/"blood brothers," etc.) and if you are pregnant and have AIDS, you can give it to your child upon birth.

Other Answers:
No, you can only get AIDS from blood.or other things. Such as sex. Your can only get AIDS/HIV if you get someone elses blood that has AIDS/HIV.

Learned it from school.
no you wont.even by kissing a hiv infected person.but if you both have gum injuries which is bleeding, u do stand a chance if ur blood gets mixed up in the process of kissing.no known cases reported so far hiv thru saliva
You can if you swallow enough. But "they" are working in the lab frantically right now to create a new strain of AIDS that will point the finger at others besides your local tax-sheltered Homosexual Community. It's really burning them up to know that till this day, AIDS is basically spread from boys playing games with boys.
No, they sing about heterosexuality and fun stuff, not aids.
if the saliva comes in touch with an open wound- u can get an HIV infection
you cant get aids/hiv unless the person had a cut or sore that was bleeding in his/her mouth..its through blood to blood contact
It is possible, but unlikely - read this.

HIV is passed through contact with the contaminated blood, semen, vaginal secretions, and breast milk of an infected person. So, any actions that could cause contact with these fluids, such as oral, anal ("backdoor"), or vaginal sex with an infected partner could cause the transmission of HIV. There have been no documented cases of HIV being transmitted through saliva/kissing to date. Open sores in the mouth could potentially cause HIV to be transmitted, but if that were a high-risk cause, I'm willing to bet the cases of infected individuals would be higher then it is already.

Also, HIV stands for Human Immunodeficency Virus. That is the virus that causes AIDS. AIDS is simply a classification of the disease level of HIV.

You'd have to drink several gallons of saliva to get AIDS. That's what I was taught years ago, but the data may have changed.
