Treatments that can be obtained from reiki?!

Question: list of the treatmetns that can be obtained from reiki
Answers:
The modern 'western' versions of Reiki have simplified the hands on healing technique to a simple task of allowing a person to receive 'divinely guided energy' - that the persons 'higher self' decides what it should best be used for. It is commonly taught, in 'western' styles of Reiki that Reiki is an intelligent energy that goes where it needs to go and does what it needs to do.

In Traditional Japanese Reiki, however, its not that simple. For TJR practitioners, they have to undergo much training in order to assess and treat energetic imbalances within the human body. Depending on the problems, there are specific hand positions for specific aliments. In Japanese Reiki, where energy is based on a model similar to the Chinese Trad Medicine energy model with Tan Tiens and meridians, one has to gain a much deeper appreciation for energy and how it works.

Usui and Hayashi both had manuals that detailed these specific hand positions. These manuals, coupled with spiritual/philosophical teachings, were given to all students. Takata, who brought Reiki to America, simplified Reiki and did away with these manuals and the specific hand positions - as well as what was left of the spiritual / philosophical teachings that were taught to her as part of her hayashi Reiki training.

In Usui's original manual, the list of aliments to be treated was fairly extensive - Hayashi's even more so (being a Medical Doctor)

Some treatments would be used as basic treatments for specific body parts: Mouth, stomach, ears, lungs, etc. .

Other treatments were more specific and included everything from bed-wetting to obesity to aphasia to appendicitis to edema to scurvy to heart disease. The list is quite extensive. Depending on the aliment, different hand positions were recommended along with recommendations in changes of diet and herbal remedies (kampo).

For more info check out the Original Reiki Handbook (Petter 1999). My traditional manual is similar to this in many ways.

Hope this helps.

That's not how Reiki works.

It's energy. The person receiving the energy decides what is to be done with it. You can use it to relax away your tension or to invigorate yourself if you're tired. It can speed healing, ease pain or just leave you feeling better. But none of that is up to the person channeling Reiki for you. It's up to your higher self and your divine blueprint how that energy gets used.

There's only 2 cases I know of where Reiki should not be used: on an unset broken bone and on an amputation that hasn't been seen by a doctor.
