how do you get rid of hickups?!

take a deep breath and hold it for as long as possible. this clears hiccup immediately. repeat process if it did not clear.
do your best not to think of it start doing something creative
try to drink water, lick a slice of lemon. swallow. hold your breath for a second or two.
Hiccups are caused by Carbon dioxide..( discounting any muscular problems).and the most scientific method it..( not for children though) take a grocery bag..put it over your face..inhale-exhale a number of times..till the Carbon di oxide level in the bag is quite high..and when you inhale that..hiccups go.

OR try to drink water out a glass from the wrong edge..i mean the opposite edge..its funny.but sometimes it does the trick..

OR give a shock( if thats not you)..a large sound..or a scary shock
u do rope jumping for 10 minutes, do it fast and dont stop, u will also lose some weight.
This remedy has ALWAYS worked for me.

You'll need a medium size glass of water and one pencil.

Put the pencil on top of your tongue horizontally. Keep pencil pressed on the tongue while drinking the whole glass of water without stopping. It's a bit sloppy and awkward at first, but it works amazingly well!

I've helped a lot of friends and some family with this remedy. They were shocked, as I was- when I very first tried it.and it worked!
