What would be the outcome of UN treated Bi-polar?!

Question:
Answers:
It depends on the severity of the Bi-polarism. Some are ok as long as they are aware of it and keep it "in check." Some become un-hirable liabilities.
Some become homeless staticstics.
Some just argue and fight with their loved ones all the time.
Some, like myself have to constatly keep myself in check. I'm alergic to many bi-polar meds and have taken to a more natural approach. I do "biorhythms", take calcium suppliments, camomile and St. Johns Wort. I see a "congnative" therapist and have a loving and understanding partner who's seen all the crap I've been through just to get the proper diagnosys.

a so called NERVOUS BREAK-DOWN, POSSIBLY. also, there is a high percentage of persons who commit SUICIDE, who are Bipolar; i've been Bipolar for lots of yrs. If u think u are bi-polar and not on medicine to treat it- i think u should talk to a Doc or Mental Health Worker--a counselor or Psychiatric, or Psychologist. I never tried to kill myself, but my sis is also bipolar and she tried to kill her-self by taking too many Xanax and she had to be hospitalized and i think she may have ALMOST died; she was in a bad state of health, mentally & phsyically, too, i think. I did stay off med's for bipolar for 4 yrs. but i was in EXTREME nervousness; had ups and downs; sometimes normal--but NOT often Normal. I hope u are not bi-polar, but if so--you probably should seek HELP. Different med's help DIFFERENT persons. I take 2.5 mg. Zyprexa; my sister takes 50 or 100 mg. of Seroquil --mine and hers DAILY. both of us have gained lots of weight; i only gained 20 lbs in 3 yrs on it. i once stayed off it and lost 10 lbs (slowly) over 8 mo. period. I GRADUALLY came off Zyprexa--faily slowly--by taking 1/2 AMT. -THEN EVERY OTHER DA., ETC.
Those are great answers!I am bipolar also and when i wasn't on my meds i had extreme mood swings, not just happy sad argumentative and all that but my sleeping was affected too.I could sleep for days at a time or be awake for 3 days at a time.I would never know what my day or week would be like,it always changed.

personal experience
Our prisons and jails are full of untreated AND UNDIAGNOSED bi-polar people. This disease can be easily treated and monitored through medication, counseling, and support groups, but it takes work! Untreated, the person has a terrible time with interpersonal relationships, employment, education, and everyother area of his life. If you are untreated, get treatment NOW!
