A great way to do this is to hit the shopping malls, but don't buy anything. Just take note of what you really like. Then, hit some thrift stores. You will most likely find the very things you saw at the mall for much cheaper. AND, you know it's still going to look that good after you wash it once or twice! Good luck!
Make a weekly run through Nordstrom Rack. Everything is marked down like 50% when it enters the store, and then there are other sales. I pretty much buy all my clothes for 60-80% off. And you don't look like your wearing crap from target. Its mostly all high-end designer labels. I say make a weekly run through the store because the average and slim sizes go quickly. They always seem to have a ton of plus size stuff though.
I love papaya. It is in almost any mall in california. I don't know about other places. But they have all the latest styles and they are cheap cheap cheap!
Ross is a great place to go for name brand stuff at a discounted price. But you have to spend some time looking through the racks.
