What are some goods tips for maxing out your bench press?!
Question:

Do the routine below. I gained 35lbs on my max bench in 4 months. Be sure to use good form or you'll end up hurting yourself.
Start out with your 6 rep max (the heaviest weight you can bench for 6 times.)
You'll start out doing 10 sets of 3 reps, resting only 1 - 1 1/2 minutes (at the most!) between sets. Once you can complete all ten sets of 3 reps, move up to ten sets of four reps. Once you can do ten sets of 4 reps, retest your 6 rep max, then start the routine over again. Never do more than the recommended reps. (eg, 3 or 4) The first few sets will be really easy, but by resting less than 1 1/2 minutes, by the time you make it to set # 7 or 8 you'll be lucky to squeeze out two reps. The thing to make sure of is that you:
rest no longer than a minute and a half between sets AND you use proper form. Do this routine twice a week, getting at least 3, but no more than 4 days of rest between workouts.

Do push-ups with resistance bands. You will build up more supporting muscle without taking a chance of blowing out your rotator cuff.
