Question:
Answers:
If you do a Culture & Sensitivity Lab, it will show on the Sensitivity part of the lab what antibiotics the bacteria is suseptible and resistant to. For example, I recently came across a patient with a VRE or Vancomycin Resistant Enterococci, and the only antibiotic it was still suseptible to was Tetracycline.. yes Tetracycline

Other Answers:
I believe you are referring to Vancomycin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus. Let's break it down. Vancomycin is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. Staphylococcus Aureus is a type of bacteria. Staph can infect you in a variety of places. VRSA basically means the bacterial infection cannot be cured with Vancomycin. However, to date, all VRSA isolates have been susceptible to other Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved drugs. I don't know which drugs can treat VRSA but I'm sure a good Infectious Disease Doctor will know.
