Xray and CT is the same idea of operation .. but ct is to image the sector of something but the two is image by xray

the MRI is used for the best images .. for the soft tissue and organs and to display the abnormalities of the organs ..

Consult a good doctor and he may suggest MRI or CT scan. We keep thinking of worst possibilities, but think of it in a practical way and get it examined.
skull x-rays don't show cancer like an MRI does.but that's a very expensive test. your doctor can tell you if you need a CT or MRI based on your symptoms and the durations. lots of people get headaches for reasons other than tumor.and a lot of people with tumors don't get headaches. your headaches could be migraines, dehydration, due to problems with your vision (like needing glasses), allergies, or other reasons as well.
Yes you need a scan.
X-ray only looks at calcified structures. It will not detect brain tumour!
Ok . well #1 I think you might have wanted to ask something more about options on what might cause your headaches and then asked if and MRI/CT scan would be a good option.

Personally, I would find a GOOD DOCTOR who you trust and talk all this out with him. Getting random tests done because of self diagnosis can actually put you at more risk than trusting a doctor.

Headaches can be caused by blood vessels enlarging from less caffinee consumption, stress, and a variance of other things. A life evaluation might be best to determine this.

Document everything you eat, drink, do through out the day for a week and get an appointment with a reputable physician locally. Make sure to notate any pains such as the headaches, where they are located on the head, how they feel as well as what degree of pain they are causing as you document. This can help you out tremendously.

Worked in a doctors office for over a year and live with migranes/headaches day to day.
What does your doctor think? Ct scans have become the norm as a diagnostic tool for differentiating serious causes of headaches, like tumors and bleeds. But again, what does your doctor think?
