Hi SGrant- dragonpedal must have keep her kids at daycare providers place..lol.and they killed their headlice with their fingers..lol..lol..because bleach water doesn't kill headlice the doc said..but dragonpedal took a month to manually (finger squash the critters). I hope the daycare provider doesn't have to pay dragonpedal by the hour.lol..there sure was a lot of them if it took a month to kill them all.
You can buy shampoo, foggers, and bedding spray at most pharmacys. Spray your cars, beds ,all furnture, and carpet. Spray and bag all stuffed animals for two weeks. Make sure to treat the whole familys heads, retreat if bottle suggests.
Good Luck.

I would say the best way that I have found is, buy the shampoo called RID. It is at your local grocery store. It kills the lice, on the head and then you comb them out w/ a tiny comb. To get them out of the house, CLEAN EVERYTHING you can in the washer and dryer and what you can't clean in them, clean w/ bleach and water. Either with a spray bottle, or rag. It really stinks up the house but it works. Make sure that you clean all the bedding and pillows and bed that the person slept in. All the dolls and toys they play with.

My personal expierence, as a day care provider.
you need to take all clothing and such and put in garbage bags and let sit for a few days Lice need blood to survive no blood no lice. after they have died wash as you would your normal cloths and such
I agree with the daycare provider. But if you have kids that have it, it's really detrimental to go through their hair two times a week and pick out all of them. Do that for about a month. It may be embaressing but you might want to tell their parents about the problem that way they don't keep giving it to eachouther.
pour gasoline, light match. you know the rest
Go with the day care provider but you must do a second treatment and clean up 2 week later in order to kill any new eggs that may have hatched. If you don't let your teachers and day care know about the problem so they can check the other children, the problem never ends. Good Luck.I sure am glad my kids are grown now.
