You may as well ask why people are heterosexual too. There is no reason. They just are. I personally do not believe homosexuals, lesbians and bi-sexuals will burn in Hell. God has room in his house for everyone. Even those who fall outside religious doctrine.

They can't help it, it's just how they were born.
We don't know for sure, but the people who say "they choose to be that way" are wrong. I didn't choose to be gay.
Many were molested or looked up to an adult differently and it changed them. I don't believe they are born gay, many have changed back to straight after conviction.

I do believe they are born that way. I don't think anyone would actually choose (if they had a choice) a lifestyle that would bring them scorn, shame and all the rest of the negativity that homophobia brings with it.

Since there are differences in the brains of straights and gays, it is generally accepted that gay people are born that way. As for other animals, I had a gay cat, so I know it happens.

Well.I personally think that someone can either be born that way, because of hormones and genes.or that life mishaps can make someone turn to the same sex. for example..my oldest sister is now a lesbian, however she wasn't always, when i asked her why she turned to women , her response was, "I ve had bad experiences with men, I feel intimidated by them and afraid, and I feel much more comfortable with women". so it all depends, i guess on the person and their background and stuff. but who knows that only my opinion. and what was the last thing you wrote? ******? Preference and orientation of people could not be dictated but perhaps can be controlled. If someone likes to be gay or lesbian its their own way of life but they have to accept whatever the consequences they may encounter later. If they find happiness and contentment of their personal choice so be it we have nothing to do about it. But if they acquire diseases due to the practice of their sexual preference we could only hope that they would accept the same and not blame the others who are said to be "straight" but are they really straight? monogamous? stick-to-one? I doubt their conscience. People are sinners so do I. Given a chance the devil in my mind plays but I should suppress it not to overcame me. Can I? Help me God!
