how do i gain weight?!


Question: I have been skinny since childhood. As you know it is not fun to be skinny. I have therefore tried to put on some decent weight (muscles) but i do not know how.

I was so skinny as a child I appeared to have buckteeth. May I suggest, one banana a day, lots of dairy products and three meals a day. NO JUNK FOOD. I was 10lbs at birth and 125 lbs at 6 ft when I graduated high school. Today I am 185. Oh yeah, I almost forgot.. don't smoke cigarettes.

Easy answer is to eat more than your body uses on a daily basis.

But in order to gain the right weight (the kind that goes on arms and legs and muscles and not the kind that wraps around the belly or juts out from behind) you have to make sure to eat proportionally and the right stuff.

One thing I would do if I where you is talk to your doc about it. Because if your too skinny it could be a overactive thyroid or some meditcal problem.

Some other things if you want to gain muscles you need to excerise 6 times a week. 3 days weights and 3 days cardo. Second you need to eat healthy. Like 6 times a day. Eat meat carb and veggitable also use protein shakes.

MILK! IT has a lot a calcium in it which will make your bones stronger and heavier. Plus it is is filled with protein whicj is esential to muscle building. Try to get in about 3 glasses of milk each day.
I feel your pain brother. I'm probably the hardest hard gainer. Take two vitamins a day. One with your first meal of the day, and one with the last meal. Protein, protein, protein. I weight 135, and try to take in 200g of protein a day. Don't go light on your carbs either. Other than that, time man. It takes time for us hardgainers. I've gained 18 pounds in 8 months of lifting, and that's all i've ever taken. I just started Leukic, but I haven't gained any weight yet. As far as protein shakes go, I drink ON gold standard. Like little man said, steak, chicken, & turkey. I recommend using ground sirloin instead of ground beef. It has more protein, and lower fat in it.
Consistency as in anything else in life will bring results. You will look and feel great using this method. Remember muscle is heavier than fat, and more visibly appealing, so rather than just eating alone weight train, supplement, diet, and rest
