Has anyone ever heard of the diva cup?!

I have been using the diva cup for 2 months and I LOVE it. With a little practice it is easy to put in and take out, you change it every 12 hours, which is much more convient. There is no risk of TSS. If it's in right, it's totally comfortable, I can't feel it at all. I am very active and it is great for running, swimming, walking, traveling, etc.
It is also MUCH better for your body- doesn't absorb your natural moisture, doesn't leave fibers or bleach in your body; and it is also much better for the environment- just think of all the waste created by tampons and pads! Not to mention the benefit to your wallet ($32.50- lasts 10 years!)
I recommend it to anyone.

yes i have and heard that it is supposed to be pretty good and very inexpensive , but messy. it can be kept in for the whole duration of the period , so they say at least. in my opinion i would actually believe that this would have an effect on the bacteria inside the body as they would build up , so actually i think there would be a chance for tss (toxic shock syndrome) with the diva cup. but overall it may be better for those who do not always have time to watch the clock etc. its all up to the person and if they are willing to take any risks during their period.
Yes. There is the Diva cup and the Instead Soft cup. Most drugstores have one or the other.
Well, I've just learnt something new. I thought the Diva Cup was a horse race!
yes i have seen it on the internet and it looks like a funnel.very weird..i just don't know if i could try it or not.

here is the website http://www.divacup.com
It sounds like a thing I actually used for years before my first pregnancy. But mine was called a "Keeper" and you emptied it a couple of times/day. I actually liked the thing - it was convenient never to run out of supplies and it worked about as well as any tampon I ever tried (occassional spotting would occur, especially at the beginning of the period).

It's not particularly messy once you've had a little practice handling the thing. But if you're really bothered by the site of blood, avoid it. Tampons and pads absorb most of the fluid, it's not until you use one of these cups that you realize just how much red liquid is involved in a period (think about that Jack Nicholson movie in the isolated inn.REDRUM).
