Know anything about twitches?!

Question: Sometimes I get twitches in the back of my neck. My friends say it looks like I nod or somthing. Do you think this could be caused by stress? Also it only seems to happen if I think about it. It's hard not to think about. And advice?
Answers:
See a doctor please, it's probably harmless but it could be a sign of an electrolyte imbalance or neurological disorder. It could also just be stress or muscle tension, get lots of sleep and eat a balanced diet.

Happens to everybody, i twitch sometime. Its as normal shaking your leg. Some peope just twitch cuz they feel like it
could be caused from dry skin, and stress
Severe spinoplandisitis. I suggest asking your dentist.
stress or some kinda spasm
yeah, it's prolly stress

all through college, i had twitches where i'd tense up the whole front of my neck. it looked wicked retarded, but i felt like i didn't have a whole lot of control over it except for when i focused on not doing it.

what i did is i practiced not doing it. first i'd go like 10 minutes and really focus on no twitching. then if u go to class or work or whatever, just try not to do it.

also, do neck rotations whenever you feel tension (and when you have a moment alone) Just slowly roll your head around in big circles to loosen up your muscles and sort of regain control over those muscles.

my twitches were pretty bad, but they went away. i think yours can too if you try. :)
sorry i cant help you that much all i can say is go see an therapist `and then tell he/she how you feel about these twitches, or just go see a doctor it is much easier.well i hope you find what you need bye and good luck.
I'm 55 years old and their called tics. I've had them since I was a child. Your exactly right, when you try to stop they get worse. Sorry to say but, no theirs nothing you can do to stop them. I've tried many drugs ober the years also. You probably have a compulsive disorder too. They both go hand and hand with each other. Get help for the compulsive disorder though. My three children have it and so does my husband. That part DOES need medical help.
