what kind of neck line, or bodice, for a ball gown is flattering on a short hai!

Question: isn't evidenced by her bra size? i'm wondering cuz i won't be at my "goal weight" by the time of the occassion.thankyou.
Answers:
I agree with the "V" It is Slimming and also Frames the face to draw more attention to it than the rest of the body.
Notice the point of the "V" Is downward, while the open end is upward. The Point will catch the eye thus causing the eye to follow the lines of the "V" upward, drawing less attention to the body. Also if there is any kind of print or line on the garment. Make sure to select a verticle straight line or even a solid; also color is very important. Wearing the hair up is also very slimming.
But keep in mind, slimming is not also better. Enhancing what you have is better. As for the Bra..lots of places have the gel inserts, just to bring them up a cup size or perk them up a little.

A v neck might be a good way forward for emphasising any cleavage and drawing attention away from any other parts you don't want focused on, or possibly, if you want something a bit different, a slash neck (ie, low on the shoulders, cutting across your neck) which often accentuates the chest, and makes the waist look slender by comparison. Try to steer clear of scoop necks, if you've not got much up top, as this will emphasise that fact.
don't go halter because that will make ur shoulders look bigger. maybe go a boob tube that curves up at the chest instead of one that goes straight across. this should make your boobs look bigger
v one is good
I agree! You should either go V-neck or straight across on the bodice. I reccommend taking the recommendation of the retail sales associate at the store because they tend to know what works best. Try on dreeses you wouldn't ordinarily try on because have always worked better than the ones I first pick out. You never know, you might find the dress of your dreams.
a v-neck will work, and maybe something that has sleeves but doesnt cover your shoulders.
I'd recommend you try to find any of the following:

-a bandeau-style (tube topped) gown, because it will accentuate what cleavage you do have, and will also be very slimming.

-a surplice-style (criss-cross topped) gown - because of the way the surplice is constructed, it gives the illusion of fuller cleaveage, but has the added benefit of being V-necked, or "plunge" (deeply) V-necked. ***I would be careful wearing a V-necked gown however, if you are concerned about showing too much skin.

-a halter-style gown would not be unattractive if it were a bandeau-style halter, or a V-necked halter. If you have broad shoulders, it might be a good idea to invest in a good shawl, scarf, boa, stole, crocheted lace duster, or other type of formal evening wrap to help take the eyes off how wide your shoulders may appear.

-a mandarin-style collared gown - which features a higher neckline can also be quite flattering for someone with shorter hair while covering up the neckline and bodice. It also helps draw more attention to your face, so make sure your short 'do is impeccably coiffed if you select a gown fitting this description.

-a gown with a cowl, ruffles, or a bow at the neckline can also be very flattering and attractive on a smaller bustline. These fabric and applique adornments help create the illusion of a fuller, and sometimes, more shapely bust.

-a gown with an empire waist is exellent for "balancing" out a less than hourglass silhouette - especially if you think you might fall into the "pear shape" category.

-a trapeze style gown, which has little shape at the bodice or neckline may also prove to be flattering because it will also help balance out a less than hourglass silhouette because they are generally fuller at the hem.

-dresses constructed with princess lines will also give the illusion of a more balanced silhouette. Their bodices are constructed to hug your body in all the right places. =)

I feel it is my duty to inform you that extra care should be exercised in selecting proper undergarments for wear underneath your gown. Since undergarments are like a foundation for your outer wear, they can help give structure and shape where there was little or none previously (especially in the bust and bustle areas). I guarantee that your formal wear will fit better and therefore make you look better if you take the time to find good undergarments.

Regards!
