It doesn't hurt as much as people say getting them on. The next few days will hurt because your mouth is getting used to it. also, your lips might feel like they are bulging out because the braces are there, expecially on the bottom. Every time you go back and get the bands changed, it might hurt the day after, but just take some painkillers BEFORE you go.(you don't want to have to wait for it to work)If you have to wear headgear (this will be something you would have to wear attached to your braces to keep them in the same place, hopefully you won't have this) it will be uncomfortable, and if you must wear them when you sleep, it may be diffult to go to sleep at night, but you get used to it. If you have to wear them during the day, I feel sorry for you, as it is a great embarrasment to most people. also, your teeth will be more sensative so whatch what you eat.

I got my braces three months ago so I know things aabout them. At first it might hirt a little, differs for people, and you should it pretty soft food at first. Don't worry you'll get used to it.

its really not bad at all depending on how bad your teeth are.some times in extreme cases they have to remove teeth or have like monster bridges that correct overbites.but most people dont need them. when you get them on or after your check ups your teeth will feel sore and maybe a little lose..soft food is best to eat because if you bite down too hard or on something hard there will be a sharp pain! seriously the soreness will go away in like a day.
