You can't, this is something he must defeat on his own, I have much experience with this given that my family did everything humanly possible to help my brother, and after realizing that all of our attempts proved to be failures, we gave up trying, then 2 yrs later my brother rid himself of his addiction, same goes for a good friend of mine that sadly lost his son to a heroin overdose after years of trying to help him. I went through this and the only thing that worked for me was a methadone program.some say it is switching one high for another but I NEVER saw it that way and it saved my life!
My sister went through this,we tried everything possible to help her and she would always do it again.Then she lost her children,her home and almost her life and SHE chose to move away from everything that reminded her of heroine and now she has been cleaned for 6 years(unfortunately she did not get her children back.
