I'd rather be Self-less. I already am that way alittle. (I still worry about myself too) I found that when your a little Self-less you have some more friends, people ask you your opinion on things alot, I find that my friends come to me when they have a problem and I enjoy trying to help them out. It's all a matter of personal prefrence.
selfless, as Christ was.

I'd prefer to be self-less, and I like to think that I lean more toward self-lessness than self-centeredness.
If forced to choose, I would pick self-centered. Being completely self-less leads to a whole lot of misery. I know first hand. However neither end of the scope is peaches and cream. However, at least if I was self-centered, my needs would be getting met.

Man, I do what I do. If you want to do it right you have to be a little of both. Period. Case in point. I would put paying my own rent ahead of paying a little old lady's rent to keep her from getting evicted. Nobody else is looking out for me financially, no friends, no family, no Church, no welfare, no nuthin'. That little ol' lady has a ton of options (other than me), namely, all of the ones that I just said I ain't got.

I think that there is a right time for being selfless, like putting the needs of your family ahead of your desire to buy golf clubs or a pool table, but often times, a person HAS to put themselves before others, otherwise they may not be very helpful for very long.
Selfishness is a virtue said Ayn Rand the author of Atlas shrugged.well to put it practically its physical world where self centered attitude gives success. But to maintain or acheive u need to be selfless then u will be real close to peace Complex isnt it?
