I think it all depends on the individual child. If you are old enough to take care of them yourself on a daily basis without your parents help, then you are old enough.

13+ Because 13 is the preteen age. But it is always up to the parents unless you are 18 or older.
When he is old enough to pay for them by himself. That is the problem with the children oh! I mean parents today.
Normally around 13 years old. If you feel your child is responsible enough to be able to properly take care of them then go for it. Have your child practice touching his/her eye first, it makes things a lot easier.

I was in 7th grade when I got contacts, so probably 12 or 13. It really depends on the level of maturity and responsibility, and if they are able to take care of them or not. Glasses are a pain in the neck, especially if you're in sports. I was very grateful to have contacts.no more glasses sliding down your nose or having them get all fogged up.
Well, it depends on whether the contacts are used to improve the child's sight, or if they're purchased for fashion reasons. If it's needed, i'd say about 13, if the reason is purely cosmetic then I would say when they're old enough to work with a work permit..so they can pay for them.
