The best way to stay awake during a 8 to 10 hour shift is busting your @ss..Sure caffiene will work for a short period of time, sure No-Doze will work for a little longer of time than caffiene but keeping your body going at a rthym will adjust your mind and set it to do as much as it can possibly handle.Take it from me I am a Grocery Store Manager of two stores and work shifts of 15 hours during inventory and around the holidays.I have been doing these long shifts for 14 years to this present day. Good luck and try to get some rest if you can..

Drink coffee or tea. It keeps you awake. Also try reading a book or watching a television show or movie. those keep you awake too. If you really lack sleep, ask your boss if you could skip a day of work so you can sleep for a long time and in the next day, you would be energized. Trust me. It really works.
Get a few No-Doze in you. That'll work great.

6. One of the best natural treatments for sleep deprivation is lavender extract. Some people dont like it but you put a few drops on your pillow and you will be out like a light.
