Without looking it up online, have you heard about reiki?!

Question: If so, do you have it? Can you send some to me? I'm in Northern MA and could use it to heal my skin problems.
Answers:
Greetings,
I am a Reiki Master Teacher in Usui Reiki Ryoho. I have been involved with Reiki for well over 10 years. In that time, I have seen some pretty amazing things that have been helped by regular Reiki treatments.

As far as sending you Reiki and having it help your skin problems, there are many factors that play into the healing process. What is your skin problem? How long have you had it? What is it associated with (age, vitamin deficiency, diet, etc..)? What are you doing now, and, what have you done in the past to help the problem along? Do skin problems run in your family? Do you have allergies? And the list goes on and on and on.

Also, you must realize, Reiki is something very subtle. It works best over a period of time - that amount of time determined by the particular client and the problem at hand. Several applications are better than one. It didnt take a day for your skin problems to occur, its going to take more than one Reiki session for it to help your problem. Depending on the problem, you may need multiple sessions to see any results.

As I eluded to in the above statement - if, for example, you have an unknown food alergy. You come to me for Reiki for your skin. You leave the session and go and eat your favorite food - that you unknowingly have an allergy to - you have effectively outdone what I just did.

In other words - Reiki is not a cure all. Many people go for a Reiki session or two, dont do anything to support the session and then turn around and say:"Reiki doesnt work." Things that you do directly affects how well Reiki will work for you. Also, different people respond differently to Reiki. For some, it works well. For others not so well - and for a variety of reasons. Its just like any other form of therapy or medicine in this respect. Just sending Reiki to you will probably do very little - it will be of benefit, but, it has to be coupled with a well rounded approach for it to be most effective - taking your unique situation into account.

As for sending Reiki to you, I would need more info about you than 'I live in MA'. The more info that you provided would be better. A picture or small personal effect would be even better. Having known you would be the best. Also, it would be most beneficial for you to coordinate a distance healing session with a Reiki practitioner - where you and they set aside a particular time for them to send Reiki to you - so that you would be ready to receive Reiki by them.

So, its a little more complex than just sending Reiki. It is part of a holistic approach, where you need to be an active participant in your own health and well being.

No.
Yes, however a person cannot "send" you Reiki energy. You must draw it from the earth.
Oh, yes. My mom is a level 2 Reiki Master.
Yeah, I've had it done on me. It helped anxiety problems a lot. It isn't something you can send, it's a process. Someone touches you at different points on your body and energy flows through. It's kind of like a different form of accupuncture.
I've heard of it. but. it's not something we can just send.
it's doubtful that Reiki will heal your skin problems.I took a course in Reiki, and it hasen't healed anything.Go to a good dermatologist.
Sending it your way now.

however, you would do well to find a reiki circle (or start one) and get actively involved.

Good luck, and try not to let the "appearance" of skin problems affect your inner spirit. you are how you feel inside.
I have a couple of massage therapist friends who do reiki. It is energy healing. It is thought to re-direct your Chi or life force in a way that was formerly blocked before the reiki. It is a wonderful therapy I think, and somewhat akin to acupressure. It is not something anyone can send you, but talk to a CERTIFIED massage therapist and see if they do reiki or knows someone who does..Good luck!.just a couple of other things after reading the answer above. It's not like acupuncture as nothing penetrates the skin, in fact often you are not even physically touched at all. Again I'll state this is not like sending out good energy to you, but re-directing your own life force energy.
Yes, I have actually had a headache treated through Reiki. I only have a superficial knowledge of it, but here are a couple of facts:

Reiki's main intention is to give you the ability to heal yourself. Though (as in my case) it can be used on others sometimes.

The person who said long-range healings are not possible is absolutely wrong! It IS possible to heal others far away but you have to be a Reiki Master of the top level (Third Level or rank or whatever they call it).

If you want to learn Reiki, you must be VERY careful. There are so many people who claim to be Reiki Masters and offer courses for a lot of money although they know little more than the terminology. Your best bet MIGHT be to find someone willing to give you the basic initiation for free and only charge for later courses.
Yes, we called it chi at here, a stream of energy circulate inside our body.

Every living things have chi, but to control it consciously you must have a lot of practise.

Can be transferred but for short distance only.
Of course I have heard of it, I teach it. IM me with your name and a little more info & I'll send you some.

I can't believe the ignorance of some of these answers and how they ignored/twisted your question. I wish people wouldn't answer questions when they don't know what they are talking about.
