How long would a 44 yr. old man need to wait after triple bypass surgery to play!

Question:
Answers:
I suggest that you wait for at least two months. But I also suggest that you speak to your doctor about it. The biggest concern would be that your sternum is fully healed before you go smacking golf balls around!

Other Answers:
you won't be golfing this summer!
Your pretty young to have had triple bypass. Do you have a family history of heart disease? What is your lifestyle and eating habits?I don't think there is a pat answer to this question. I think you should concentrate on improving your diet and perhaps reducing your stress level. If you do play golf rest as much as you can between holes! Good Luck!
alright dude if i was you i would focus on your nutrition cause its the differance bewteen life and death

you should read the following

Health and nutrition sercrets that can save your life, Russell L, Blaylock 2002 health press (its a shock and aw)

VRP (vitamin reserch products) have some of the highest grade supplements on earth, and the largest
database of nutrition information.

Nutrition Concepts and Controversies 10th/11th edition
2005-2006 Frances Sizer (good general nutrition book its college level)

belieave in god, and study nutrition and exercise those 3 are your salvation. You could also talk t nutritionists and very intelligent doctor/nutritionist combo people Russell Blaylock is both a doctor and is into nutrition. if you had intelligent parents with he knowledge i have now you would live to 130+ years of age if not longer. =) good luck and may the force be with you.
ask your doctor man, I would take there word over some morons on the net. I know golf kicks ***, and its probably a nice day out, but you want to be still playing when your 90, not die on the course at 44-45.

not that it would be a bad way or place to go!
You may want to ask your doctor that rather than random people on a question and answer site.
He should wait at least 6 weeks. Recovery from bypass surgery is a slow process and partly depends on your physical condition prior to the surgery. The best advice I could give you would be to go for post-bypass physical therapy. My husband has had 4 open-heart surgeries. The first time he had PT was after the last one, in 2003. It was the best recover he's had to date! The rehab made a huge difference! Listen closely to what your doctor tells you. Believe me, you do not want to overdo it! You could do serious damage if you become too active too soon. You may not play golf this year. But you'll be sure to play next year if you take it slow. I pray you have a full recovery! God bless!
