That is precisely "manic-depression" or "bi-polar" (same thing).
Actually, you can suffer a mood swing even if you're not depressed, but it also happens during depression.
yea, but you might want to find out a little about bi-polar disorder
yes- unfortunatly, i suffer from depression, one min im happy the next im crying or one minute im happy or the next breathing fire! Ive suffered depression for 2 years.
manic depression.ya i kinda sorta have that.if i go off my meds for a couple weeks.ill have that.and it just gets worse and worse.the highs are so amazing that it makes me never want to take the pills again.but the lows are soooooo low that i know i need to take them. and it really doesnt take anything to trigger a mood change.atleast with me.i would reccomend talkin to a doctor before it gets any worse
Bi-Polar aka manic depression

Bi-Polar II with hypomanic episodes.
Yes... I deal with this all the time at my job. I can be transporting someone with depression one min they could be fine talking having a good conversation, and the next min they could be yelling and swinging at me or my partner.

College, and my job.
I agree with brandy8muns & frankiab1001. I do the same thing, luckly my Husband is understanding of what's going on with me. It's not just an excuse to be mean to someone. You just can't help it. I completely understand.

What to do about it? I pray and read my NIV Bible. I have also changed my diet to more fish and Turkey which helps with depression, anxity and panic symptoms. If you don't like fish, you can take a pill supplement, which is what I do everyday. I have found it has helped me with my symptoms. The other thing is sunlite. You need lots of sunlite. Get outside or sit near the window and let the sun shine on your face. It will help you to feel better.

I have been suffering with these mood swings etc, since I was elevan years old. I'm 32 now. I've been through a lot. I look to Lord Jesus for direction and comfort and read the word of God. There are lots of people throughout history who have already experinced similar feelings as us, just a different era. I hope this helps. May God Bless you and keep you in his loving arms. Love in Jesus. Jackie
Sounds more like Bipolar Disorder.
mood swings are a part of depression
Yes. This is a very common thing. To depressed people, they may lose their confidence in themselves, and tend to be more moody. Not saying it's a bad thing, but if you're depressed, you seem to be less active and cheerful. But if suddenly something comes to cheer them up, like a nice movie, or a yummy desert, they'll come right back up to being happy again!
you can - but this doesn't mean you are bi polar - you must explain this to your doctor and under what circumstances it usually occurs you may find a pattern.
