depends on which type of ulcers you mean ,, if u mean the common type that affect most of us in a specific time of the year.. ( called ophthus ) ,,, it may take from 1 week to a month .
( for the answer below me : it's proved that drugs for ophthus take to cure it completely just the same time it goes away by itself, so , no need to spend money , just in case they really hurt u )

Days to a week or so. Sometimes quite a while, the bigger ones take longer to heal. Even a day is too much - those things are rotten. Try using Zilactin. You can get it at your local pharmacy (over-the-counter, no perscription needed). The Zilactin covers up the ulcer, numbs it so it doesn't hurt, and helps it heal a LOT faster.
I'm often suffering from some of them. They're called Aphtus and occur because of serving too much from a specific category of foods called warm foods (warm natured foods). U can buy an Anti-Aphtus or use some bicarbonate (soda powder) on it. Sour Acidic vegetables like lemon are also workin good on them!
and about the period: they will last about a week or less, but if you cure them before they grow big, they will be wiped off after 1-2 days. they're so painful!
